The initial spark.
It all began in my second year of college when I delved into elective classes focused on social media and marketing, which sparked my passion for the field. These courses provided me with a foundational understanding of digital marketing strategies, content creation, and audience engagement. Through hands-on projects and real-world case studies, I gained valuable insights into the dynamic world of social media, equipping me with the skills to craft compelling campaigns and connect with diverse audiences.
College Sports
With this video, my goal was to showcase a different side to the baseball players. Often times, these D1 athletes can be viewed as celebrities on campus. Showing their personalities through a simple interview question humanizes them, therefore making them more approachable, leading to more student attendance to games.
College Sports pt. 2
When I first joined the social media team at CSUF, I knew that I immediately had to make this video with the softball team. This trend was going completely viral at the time and it ended up doing really well on the algorithm! This video shows that I’m able to keep up with trends.
Camp Counselors
My goal with this video was to showcase the counselors at summer camp. When parents send their children to camp, they often have no idea who their children are spending time with. My target market for this video was purely the parents of campers / future campers. Highlighting the counselors with a simple interview question allows the parents to feel more comfortable and secure sending their children to this summer camp.
College Sports pt. 3
With this video, I was given the assignment to promote the baseball team’s game that week. At the time, this audio was trending and was often used with photos on a slideshow. I put my own spin on it and made it relevant to baseball. This shows that I can take an idea or audio that’s doing well on the algorithms and make it relevant to the business that I’m marketing.
